About

Amy Brammall is a freelance photographer based in Leeds best known for her playful, character-driven portrait work, mostly in the entertainment and advertising world. Amy has created key art, book covers and campaign imagery, often building her own sets and props to bring each idea to life.

Outside of Amy’s commercial jobs, she works on personal projects that mix emotion with a dry sense of humour. One of her series, Grief is the Price We Pay for Love, explored themes of loss and solitude and picked up Honourable Mentions at the 2023 PX3 and IPA Awards. Amy often shoots comedic self-portraits and satirical series that poke fun at everyday absurdities placing people in surreal or totally ridiculous setups that blur the line between portrait and performance.

Amy’s work has been recognised internationally too, including a couple of features in Lürzer’s Archive’s 200 Best Ad Photographers Worldwide.
